THEATer IN MARIENBAD
The town theater of Marienbad has been in existence for almost 150 years and it offers many plays, classical or modern music performances and fairy tales for young children.
THE MAIN SPA COLONNADE
The famous Neo-Baroque Main Spa Colonnade, also called Maxim Gorky´s Colonnade, is one of the most instantly recognisable symbols of Marienbad and it was built between 1888 and 1889. At that time the Colonnade was used to be the center of spa life. This beautiful Colonnade takes its name from Maxim Gorky, a Russian writer, playwright, poet and revolutionary. In 2010 the Main Spa Colonnade became a National Cultural Monument.
THE FOREST SPRING
The Forest Spring is a mineral spring located in Marienbad, well-known since 1683. Today its pavilion is recognized as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic. The temperature of this ferric spring reaches approximately 7.6 °C and its composition differs considerably from other sources. In the past it was often flavored with lemon juice or whey and today this unique mineral water is used for inhalations, drinking cures and natural carbon dioxide baths. The Forest Spring is located in the north of the city, close to Třebízského street and inside the spa park of Třebízský’s brook.
